Components of a Profit and Loss Account

Revenue

Revenue is the entire income generated from the sale of goods or services for a certain period of time. Revenue is also known as sales turnover and operating revenue. Cost of Goods Sold

Gross Profit

Gross Profit = Revenue – COGS

Operating Expenses
